2/20/1962 USS Noa Prime Recovery Ship Cover
franked by a 4c Project Mercury stamp with a red/blue cachet. This is the backdated version of this recovery cover. The 4c Project Mercury stamp was only issued when the flight was successful and after the ship was at sea. The stamp couldn't have been available onboard the ship until the ship docked several days after the flight. This cover makes a nice companion to the flight cover.
