Harrison Silk Ribbon by Nathaniel Dearborn in 1840 1840 William Henry Harrison Silk Ribbon, Choice Fine. Sullivan-Fischer WHH-15. Printed by Nathaniel Dearborn in 1840, this silk ribbon measures 8" x 4," evenly toned, with one darker spot near the left edge just above the center, a couple of light wrinkles across Harrison's face. A nice bust of Harrison appears at the top of the ribbon and an image of his North Bend "Cabin" appears at center. Below is a lengthy description in tiny letters of Harrison's house. It reads, in part: "...built upwards of forty years ago, at North Bend of the Ohio River in the Town of Cleves, the main building consisted of two rooms, was wholly built of logs, of one story only... a second story was added to that... two framed timber wings... The whole buildings costing about ten or twelve hundred dollars..." Ex: EAHA Auction, August 25, 2001, Lot 1812, where it sold for $460. Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
