The 1848 "Taylor and Fillmore" Vote 1848, Zachary Taylor Presidential Campaign Circular, One page Printed Campaign Circular, [1848], Philadelphia, 10" x 8" Choice Extremely Fine. Signed in type by Alex. Ramsey, urging strenuous efforts toward Taylor's election. Includes: "...we desire to enlist your active and hearty co-operation in the great Presidential struggle, now at hand... the importance of polling every Taylor and Fillmore vote... Our time and our energies must now be given to the great contest of November. There is not an hour to lose. The friends of Cass and Butler in Philadelphia and New-York, having despaired of carrying the latter state, are now concentrating their forces upon Pennsylvania. Custom house officers, and other hirelings of the administration, are preparing an infamous scheme to carry voters from New-York... and thus defeat... the will of our own people. Call around you immediately... some of our most active friends, who will mount their horses, visit every township... ascertain who will vote for GEN. TAYLOR... On the day of election,... a committee of vigilance should be placed at every poll..." Very Rare. Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
