Excellent "Reconstruction" Era Letter

Autograph Letter, Signed "J.P. Branch," on Office of Branch Sons & Co., Bankers and Cotton Merchants stationery, June 14, 1870, Augusta, GA, 10" x 7.5," Choice Extremely Fine.
This letter is to Ex: Civil War, Union General Adelbert Ames, now a U.S. Senator, requesting help in obtaining finances: "I see that Congress is about to give the south more banking capital - I hope you will not think me trespassing on you too much to advise me how to act, so as to secure it." More excellent content.
