c. 1880, Cabinet Card Photo, President James Garfield, Published by Ryder, Choice Extremely Fine.
This great half length photographic cabinet card, measuring 6.25" x 4.25," shows Garfield looking to the right. The name of the Cleveland, Ohio publisher of this card appears at the very edge in the lower left corner - "F. Ryder." There may have been another initial before the "F" but we can't be sure. This card is clean and crisp, with no folds. There are a few tiny ink marks here and there, the only important one on Garfield's cheek. A great photograph of President Garfield, who was assassinated in office.
