1863 San Francisco Bond With Coupons Intact October 1, 1863, "BOND OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO," CA, Fine. Fantastic Civil War era municipal bond printed in gold and black ink, 21.5" x 17", featuring printed vignettes of harbor and dock scenes from around the city. There are 40 interest coupons, each paying a $35 dividend. 21 of these coupons are stamped "PAID TREASURY AN FRANCISCO." Laid down on brown paper backing, there is some toning and aging, along with a few edge splits and small absences to some of the coupons, else well-preserved. An extremely scarce example of its type.
