Chinese Manchu inscribed ink cake, the flattened double-gourd body inscribed 'xuanhu'(=magical vessel) above a shou medallion to the front, the reverse with 'xiang' (=fragrant) above a long inscription signed 'Da Yue', all on a ground of bats amid ruyi-shaped clouds in red, green and gilt, one of the narrow sides with Manchu inscription below a date of Guangxu 28th year (=1902), 9''l; Provenance: Estate of Diana Engstrom, Northern California and Sweden
