Soldier's cover docketed "From E.M. Brewer Co. C, 45th Regt. N.C.T" with Mebaneville circular Due 10, addressed to Noah Brewer in Greensboro, North Carolina. VG.^tThe 45th were organized at Camp Mangum, near Raleigh, North Carolina, in April, 1862, and served under Generals Daniel and Grimes. They lost about forty percent of their men engaged at Gettysburg and surrendered at Appomattox with 7 officers and 88 men. ^t
