CSA #7, two singles tied with Jackson, Mississippi circular date stamp, addressed to "Mrs. General Lovell Congaree Hotel, Columbia So. Carolina." VG.^tMansfield Lovell (1822-1884). Maryland. October 1861 Maj. Gen., commanded defenses of New Orleans, commanded a corps at Corinth, relieved of command because of his failure at New Orleans, absolved of charges of incompetence by a court of inquiry but given no further appointment. ^t
