Excellent Post Office Department Draft Document Signed "James Campbell" 1p. oblong octavo, December 27, 1856, payable to L. Cowles for S.B. Cowles of Kensington, Connecticut. With nice engraving of George Washington at center. Fine.James Campbell (1812-1893) was a politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served as Attorney-General of Pennsylvania and United States Postmaster General during the presidency of Franklin Pierce.
