Apollo "Cobra Cable"
The cobra cable was used to relay all of the communications and biotelemetry between the Apollo astronauts and ground control. One end was attached to the ship; the other was connected to the "Cobra Head" (see preceding lot). It is commonly thought that all of these cables were covered in beta cloth-untrue. Many of them used for flight operations were black rubber. This cable in excellent condition was found with a group of flown cables. No tag was found with it, but if you have an Apollo flight stowage list, you may find this unit listed. A seldom seen piece of equipment.
