Description: 474 pp. 8½x5, period speckled sheep, spine expertly repaired with new morocco label. First American Edition.Macculloch links tropical diseases, particularly malaria and marsh fever, with other ailments, with the causes of disease also linked to social environment and social class. Problems with the teeth are also seen to be related to neuralgia, as well as to malaria. Ink ownership signature of Albert G. Welch, 1834, to front free endpaper and top of title page, with another signature eradicated.
