Continental Currency
Magnificent $20 May 10, 1775 Continental Marbled Border

Continental Congress. May 10, 1775. Twenty Dollars. Marbled Border. Margin restoration. PMG graded Very Fine-25.
Fr. CC-9. This is a truly outstanding example of this famous note, printed on a "marbled border" paper that was provided to the Continental Congress by Benjamin Franklin for the printing this unique, specific twenty dollar denomination. There is perfect centering and registration of the black printed border designs, the text and vignettes are sharp and distinct. This note has superb eye appeal and the appearance of Extremely Fine. There are a couple of trivial deft edge margin repairs that are virtually invisible, even when held to a strong light or under magnification. The "marbled border" is bright and colorful, the red and brown ink signatures add to this note's impressive appearance. Overall, this is great looking note in excellent, high quality, that would be a highlight for any better Federal or Continental Congress currency collection.
