Massachusetts May 5, 1780 Twenty Dollars "Guaranteed" State of Massachusetts. May 5, 1780. Twenty Dollars. "Guaranteed" by the United States Issue. No Cancel. About Uncirculated. Fr. MA-285. This red and black printed "Guaranteed" note is signed on its face and back, including on the reverse side "Guarantee" endorsement line. The serial number and signature of Richard Cranch are seen written in light tan ink on the face. Thomas Walley endorses the reverse side "Guarantee" line. This note carries a 5% Annual interest rate, the payment schedule for which is printed in the lower left side on the face.
