April 15, 1758 Colonial New York Ten Pounds Note Colony of New York. April 15, 1758. Ten Pounds. Very Fine. This evenly circulated note has nice eye appeal. The signatures are worn from circulation and still visible. The dark black printed text is complete, with the Arms of New York vignette sharp. There are some well sealed edge splits. A nice early addition for any New York currency collection. Only 8,000 Ten Pound notes were printed in order to help finance a French and Indian War era military expedition to Crown Point and should have been redeemed back to the Treasury by November 1768.
