Exceedingly Rare "Hunt & Nash" with Plain Frame Type

EP-118, HB-153, S-109, Ten Cents, HUNT & NASH, "Irving House," Plain Frame, Choice Extremely Fine.
Rated as Hi Rarity-8+ (about 5 known) according to Fred Reed. This important rarity and major listed type is quite possibly the Finest Known. The green George Washington stamp is perfectly centered, and has some light tone and a few scattered flyspecks (possibly on the inner mica). It is seen under very clear, unbroken mica. The case is light natural golden-chestnut in color and remains defect-free with very clear legends at center highlighted by nice underlying luster. This is only the third example we have offered, the last being sold over a decade ago.
