Rated as Rarity-5 (21 to 30 known) according to Fred Reed. A decent quality example of this singular Encased Postage Stamp Merchant, from outside of the borders of the United States, and being located in Montreal, Canada. The stamp is a very deep, rich bold green in color and is fairly well centered, though placed just a bit towards the top. The mica shows definite signs of actual circulation, having a number of surface bumps and wear, though it remains quite clear. The case remains a natural light even chestnut in color, with the reverse legends sharp and clear with the case being clean with one tiny hit to the right of W in the left reverse field. A more affordable, yet pleasing, example for collectors wanting to acquire this very elusive, Canadian Merchant for their collection.
