Kaskaskia, IL, The Bank of Cairo, $5, India Paper Proof on Card, Very Choice.
Haxby IL-435 G24. PRF-R6. A beautiful design by Underwood, Bald, Spencer & Hufty, Philadelphia/Danforth, Underwood & Co., New York. with deep printing. Three cherubs at the top center with small sailboat. Left end, eagle and right end a panel end with cameo portrait. There is some petty handling on the India paper which is loose from the original card stock. A lovely Illinois proof.
