Philadelphia, PA, The Kensington Savings Institution, $1, Proof on India Paper, Choice Uncirculated.
Haxby-Not Listed. Hoober 305-340. PRF-R7. A banknote size scrip on this large city. The variety of issuers on this city was considerable in the 1830's, but few proofs are seen. This note has a Harrison imprint and a distinctive style. A sailing ship in the top center is flanked by curved titles and portraits at each end. A choice quality example and the first we have handled in years.
