President John Quincy Adams Signed Land Grant

JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, 6th President of the United States.
June 12, 1827, Partially Printed Document Signed, "J. Q. Adams," 1 page, measuring 9.75" x 15.75," on Vellum, Choice Fine. This is an original, United States Government Land Grant, signed by John Q. Adams as President, transferring a lot in New Orleans, Louisiana to Charles Derbigny. Partially printed on vellum paper, this document includes the seal of the general land office and is countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office, "George Graham." The document has four typical vertical folds not affecting the text or signatures. There is full original seal intact at the lower left. This Land Grant, has the manuscript portion slightly faded, is still completely readable, with bold printing.

Charles Derbigny's father Pierre Auguste Charles Bourisgay Derbigny was the fifth governor of Louisiana, born in France, he was thrown from his carriage and died on October 6, 1829.
