Sepia Photograph Inscribed and Signed, "John Philip Sousa" in the blank margin below the image, 1920, no place, image size 9" x 7", overall size 15.75" x 10.75", Choice Near Mint. A fine, chest-up pose in his bandleader's uniform, boldly inscribed "To William Schneider, Esq. from John Philip Sousa 1920." A very clean 1" tear at the top margin and a clean 1/2" tear at the right margin are both well away from the image and can both be matted and covered with no impact to the overall excellent beauty of this piece. Housed in the original, embossed cover protector from Hartsook photography. The best-quality Sousa image we've offered.
