WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT, 27th President of the United States and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
December 23, 1923, Typed Letter Signed, "Wm H Taft" as Chief Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States, on official letterhead, Washington, D.C., 7.75" x 5.75", Choice Extremely Fine. A personalized letter of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Livingood of Cincinnati, Ohio, for the Christmas card and expressing the desire to join them for their house warming in Murray Bay the following year. There is a typical center fold, with light, minimal toning on the back that is not visible on the face. The signature is bold and in black ink.
