WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT, 27th President of the United States and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
March 21, 1927, Typed Letter Signed, "Wm H Taft" as Chief Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States, on official letterhead, Washington, D.C., 9.75" x 8", Choice Very Fine. A personal letter of thanks to Mr. Charles Hopkins of New York for the complimentary theater ticket for Mrs. Taft to attend a matinee, acknowledging a mutual friend named Walbridge and wishing him continued professional success. The great signature is written boldly and in black ink.
