Harry and Bess Truman Signed Letters

HARRY S TRUMAN & BESS TRUMAN, 33rd President of the United States and His First Lady.
1. August 5, 1959, Typed Letter Signed, "Harry S Truman" in black ink on personal stationery, Independence, MO, Extremely Fine. Truman thanks an admirer, Harold Servis, who visited Truman and received a signed photograph.
2. c. 1950s, Autograph Letter Signed, "Bess W. Truman" on "The White House" gilt embossed stationery, two and 1/2 pages, (no date), Extremely Fine. Addressed to journalist Paul Wooton, Bess Truman makes arrangements for a tour of the White House:
"I shall be glad to receive the wives of your visiting newspaper men on January the twenty-seventh at twelve o'clock. I am sorry I cannot make it a later hour - but that hour may be a good hour for them as it will not interfere with luncheon or tea engagements which they have, undoubtedly. The letter has a heavy vertical fold, but is otherwise extremely fine. Overall a scarce autograph letter on White House stationery by First Lady Bess Truman. (2 items)
