"Long Live The President" George Washington Button

(1789) George Washington Inaugural Button, "LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT", Smallest "Cuff" Size, Albert WI 17-B, Fine.
15mm. "Cuff" Size. This extremely rare, George Washington "Long Live The President" Inaugural Button is whole and solid. It is dark brown with a light natural overall patina. It is the smallest size button, being only 15mm in diameter. It has the full, straight shank which is fully intact on the reverse. Listed as WI 17 "B" in A.H. Albert's book entitled, "Record Of American Uniform and Historical Buttons" shown on pages 394 and 396.
