1860s, Assorted Civil War Lyric Sheets, Lot of 11, Fine-Very Fine.
This intriguing set of lyric sheets include Civil War military standards, derivative Minstrel songs, and a large musical sheet encouraging British subjects to come to America. This wide assortment is perfect for the Civil War collector or popular culture enthusiast, as the songs reflect the variety of concerns from both soldiers and the public. Titles include: "Joe Buggins's Wedding," and "Back and the Belly," both published by J. Wrigley, NY, with exceptional handcolored images; "Song for the Thirteenth Reg't Mass. Vols.", by Byron DeWolfe, South Framingham, MA, 1869; "Hark! The Summons", and "Southern Sentiments," pro-Southern songs, published in Baltimore, MD, 1861; "When This Cruel War is Over," and "That Southern Wagon," both sold by Horace Partridge, Boston, MA; "Rally Round the Standard Boys," "To the West! To the West!
