WW I Victory Loan Poster Depicting German U-boat Surrendering to American Destroyer

World War I, Victory Liberty Loan Poster: "They Kept the Sea Lanes Open," by L.A. Shafer, with German Submarine Surrendering to an American Destroyer, Fine.
This dramatic World War I Liberty Bond Poster depicts a battered German submarine surrendering to an American destroyer, which is guarding a troop ship. The title at the bottom reads "Invest in the Victory Liberty Loan." This 29" x 39.5" horizontal poster was printed by the W.F. Powers Co. in New York. This poster has been drymounted on foamcore, and has bumped corners, some wear along the edges, and a crease at the center, but still a very dramatic display item. A similar poster in EAHA's May 12, 2007 auction, Lot #580, sold for $521.

Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
