Huge Engraved Portrait of "Andrew Jackson, President..."

c. 1834, Engraved Portrait Print entitled, "Andrew Jackson, President of the United States," Very Fine.
This original print of President Andrew Jackson measures 23" x 16.75" on heavy card stock. This portrait was drawn on stone by A. Newsam from an original painting by W. J. Hubard and printed on heavy card by Childs & Lehman. In this image, a pensive Andrew Jackson is sitting in his chair with his hands folded and his legs crossed, between heavily tasseled drapes and framed artwork. The plain, dark background highlights his light colored hair and bold facial features making them the focal point of the composition. There are two very trivial frays in the upper left and lower right corner of the extreme outer edges that would be covered when matted for display. An impressive example of this extremely scarce large size historic print.
