President William Henry Harrison's 1841 Inaugural Address March 5th, 1841-Dated, "Baltimore Clipper" Daily Newspaper, containing the entire text of President William Henry Harrison's Inaugural Address, Fine. This is an original issue of the March 5th, 1841 "Baltimore Clipper" Daily Newspaper (printed at Baltimore, Maryland), containing the entire text of President William Henry Harrison's Inaugural Address (delivered on March 4th and the longest by any American President) as well as a full report of the Inaugural festivities at Washington on March 4th, 1840. This is the complete Newspaper Issue dated March 5th, 1841 and identified as Volume III, Number 147 of the "Baltimore Clipper" - "Published Daily by Bull & Tuttle". This newspaper measures approximately 12.25" x 18" and contains 4 pages printed in 5 columns and was folded. The entire front page and half of page 2 is taken up by a full printing of "President Harrison's Inaugural Address, March 4th, 1841.". This newspaper also includes some very minimal local and foreign "news" and about 1 1/2 pages of advertisements. The other article of interest is a rather extensive report on the Inaugural Festivities that took place in Washington on the previous day. The correspondent reports up to the beginning of the Inaugural Balls but states that "of them, I will speak to-morrow". This very rare and historical newspaper is in very good condition, being complete and well preserved. It is intact and sound, with edge wear but no tears, chipping or significant damage. There is some light age toning and light foxing but overall the Newspaper is well preserved. An important, historical newspaper recording the Inaugural Address of president William Henry Harrison and giving a contemporary account of Inauguration Day 1841.
