1844 Campaign "Grand National Whig Banner - Onward"

1844 Henry Clay Presidential Campaign Print: "Grand National Whig Banner," Printed by N. Currier, NY, Very Fine.
This rare, hand-colored 1844 Presidential Campaign Print measures 14" x 9.5" by sight, and is matted and framed to 22.5" x 18". Titled "Grand National Whig Banner - Onward", it features a portrait of Clay in the center, with heraldic eagle above and the words "Justice to Harry of the West" below. Printed at bottom: "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1844, by N Currier in the Clerks office of the Dist. Court of the South Dist. of New York." Some light even tone to the paper, a couple of well-sealed marginal tears, creases from prior folding and light soiling. Ex: EAHA Auction, August 25, 2001, Lot 1817, where it sold for $1,150.
