"Zachary Taylor, The People's Choice for 12th President"

c. 1850, Presidential Engraved Copper Plate Print entitled, "Zachary Taylor, the People's Choice for 12th President," Choice Very Fine.
This Presidential, Engraved Print, featuring "Zachary Taylor, the People's Choice for 12th President," measures 16.50" x 12.25" and is printed on heavy wove paper by Read & Co., 10 Johnson's Court, Fleet Street. The image of President Zachary Taylor is within a ornate oval design centered on the print, surrounded by classic images of the eleven previous American Presidents, including George Washington (who has a Heraldic American Eagle above) through James Polk. There is a slight impression from the original printing plate within the full outer margin edges. This uncolored print is quite clean and is on nice even paper, with just two tiny hinge traces at the extreme top edge from a prior mounting, which would be easy to remove or covered when matted for display. A very rare print, the first of this design we have offered and it is simply perfect for display.
