Fabulous Early Sanborn Company Medical Device 1954 "Metabulator" Medical Device, built upon its own custom table Furniture, Used. Made by the Sanborn Company in 1954. 31" high, 26" wide, 13" deep. Apparently used to measure Basal Metabolic Rates and Oxygen-Consumption Rates. Includes many accessories and a heavy cloth cover for protection during storage. The wooden case furniture is on lockable wheels and is in good condition. One of the heavy plastic inlets is cracked, but can be glued back together (or possibly replaced). This is a real attention-getter and a curious-looking machine. Perfect for display in a medical office as a reminder of the way things were back in the "good old days." Sold "as is".
