Pair of Unusual 380 Million Year Old Trilobites, Morocco. Two trilobites found in Morocco, 380 million years old. The larger, 4"x 1.5", Crotalocephalus gibbus, has been professionally sculpted out of the golden limestone and has exquisite detail of its bulbous head, leg like body spines and even its gigantic mouth. The smaller 3.25"x 1.25" Morocconite has a more normal trilobite shape, but has a .75" long "sword" on the front of its head. This specimen looks alive with the front half of its body sculpted away from the limestone matrix. The small individual lenses of one of its raised compound eyes are easily visible. Many hours of work went into removing these trilobites from the hard rock that entombed them for over 380 million years. Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
