Autographs “Buonoparte” Sends a Letter to a “Citizen General”
NAPOLEON BONAPARTE.
Manuscript Letter Signed, “Buonaparte,” on “Republique Francaise” stationery, November 27, 1795, 8.5” x 7”, Very Fine. Written in French, from Napoleon to a division general, sending him a form to sign: “ Headquarters, 6 Frimaire... I am having you sent herewith, citizen general, the request from one of your aides de camp, for you to put your signature on it.” Expert repairs and loss restored, affecting the text, but not the signature.
