Revolutionary War Era “USA” Continental Button, Fine.
19 mm in diameter. Medium coat pewter cuff button with shank, some edge beading evident, and green patination over a strong USA. Excellent, round shape. The presence of the shank is quite a find, because these are usually the first thing to rot off when these reactive buttons spend any time in the ground. This is a nice “dug” specimen.
