Henry Dixon (1820-1893) charterhouse, london, c.1875 Six carbon prints of Charterhouse, three of Ashburnham House and two of Christ's Hospital, printed c.1875, 18 x 23cm (7 x 9 in.), mounted on original album pages. Dixon was best known for his series of photographs commissioned by the Society for Photographing Relics of Old London of buildings that were threatened with demolition.(11)IMPORTANT: This lot has been imported from outside the EU to be sold at auction under temporary importation, and therefore the buyer must pay the import VAT at a rate of 5% on the hammer price and 17.5% on the buyer's premium.
