Blacker (William) Blacker's Art of Fly Making &c. Comprising Angling & Dyeing of Colours, engraved title and 21 plates, of which 17 are finely hand-coloured, (plate 4 bound upside-down), G. Albert Petit's copy with the typical brown paper tag on rear paste-down, original green blind-stamped cloth, gilt, some leaves unopened, [Westwood & Satchell p.33], 12mo, Rewritten and Revised by the Author Blacker, himself, Fishing Tackle Maker of Soho, 1855. ***An outstanding copy. Neither of the preceding editions (1842 and 1843) included the beautiful plates of flies, which are finely detailed and exquisitely coloured by hand.
