Albert Petit's copy with the typical brown paper tag on rear paste-down, a little spotted at beginning, original green blind-stamped cloth, spine lettered in gilt, corners very slightly bumped, [Westwood & Satchell p.210], 16mo, Longman, Brown, 1848.

***The finest copy we have handled of the first and most acclaimed of British books on angling in Norway. A scarce work, issued at the instigation of J. Jones (a tackle dealer of Jermyn Street), containing the most exquisitely hand-coloured plates of salmon flies by J. & H. Adlard. Probably the most accomplished of all the books of the period in which hand-coloured flies were included (from Scotcher, 1810, to Pritt, 1885, after which chromolithography largely took over)..
