first edition, with blank leaf after title and leaf with imprint at end but lacking half-title, errata slip and the 16pp. 'Additional Notes' (the latter issued later and not present in most copies), engraved additional vignette title and 8 plates by J.Cousen after Maude (marked proof but not on india paper), additional title foxed and water-stained, some other foxing and offsetting, original cloth, worn and faded, spine label chipped, recased, [Sabin 46913], 8vo, 1826.

***One of apparently only 300 copies of which 50 were large paper with proof plates on india paper..
