Sadic Bey (Mohammed Sadic) The Ka'ba, Mecca, albumen print, 200 x 255mm., titled and signed by Sebah in the negative, on contemporary card mount, 1881.***Mohamed Sadic, a colonel in the Egyptian army, was in charge of escorting the embroidered cover for the Ka'ba from Egypt to Mecca in November 1881 and became the first to photograph Mecca.
