STAMPED "J.D.HEATWOLE", ROCKINGHAM CO., VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE PITCHER, approximately 1 gallon, extremely rare scrolled frame stamp, classic Dry River form featuring a bulbous body with a graceful sloping shoulder and tall neck, incised ring below the rim, additional incised double rings on neck and shoulder, lightly grooved handle, brushed cobalt feather decorations.
