NEW MARKET, VA ATTRIBUTED LEAD-GLAZED EARTHENWARE BASIN, single glazed deep form with flattened rim above two handles and two incised rings, light colored clay with iron oxide speckles typical of New Market products. Probably John Coffman or John George Schweinfurt. Second half 19th century. 6" h, 14 3/8" dia rim
Reference: Descended in the Coffman family, Edinburg, VA

Condition report

Excellent condition having only a few rim chips and expected glaze wear to interior and rim
