ROCKINGHAM CO., VA DECORATED SLAT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, approximately 2 gallon, classic form with broad flat rim above two unusually small groove-edge handles and a single incised ring, brushed cobalt long-stem flower on each side, additional cobalt across handles. Probably John D. Heatwole, Dry River, possibly Joseph Silber or Emanuel Suter. Second half 19th century. 10 1/4" h, 9 1/2" dia rim
