RARE "PRESIDENT'S HOUSE, FROM THE RIVER" HISTORICAL ARTIST FOLIO, front cover featuring an oil on abalone and black lacquer depiction of the south face of the president's house with portico and wings, overlooking the Potomac river with several small boats and figures on the bank, title inscribed along the lower left edge, front and back covers set with a pearl button in each corner, gilt-stamped leather spine, interior with expandable pocket and original paper. Mid 19th century. 9" x 12"

Very good condition with some light flaking to the lower portion of the house image, expected surface crazing to covers, interior blank papers with foxing
