Reference: Boultinghouse, {{Silversmiths of Kentucky}}, p. 43 Provenance: Descended in a Staunton, VA family Note: According to Boultinghouse, Ayres & Haydon advertised February 28, 1811, that they had moved opposite Postlewaite's Tavern, Lexington. The short-lived partnership was dissolved by May 29, 1813, when ads for "Ayres & Hiter" appeared in the Lexington {{Reporter}}.
