PAINTED TRENCHER.
American, 19th century, birch. Oblong form scraped down to an old blue-gray paint. Imperfections. 4 3/4"h. 13 3/4"w. 20 1/4"l. Ex Dee's Antiques (Michigan).

Condition: Two age cracks at one end, interior has appropriate wear with a later varnish and three spots of discoloration/residue.
