FOLKSY DECORATED MINIATURE CHEST OF DRAWERS.
Probably European, ca.1810-1820, pine. Four graduated drawers, a shaped skirt, and decorated with pressed straw veneer. Inset watercolor portraits on the top (half-length uniformed man and well-dressed woman) and on the sides (each individually and full-length). Some imperfections. 7 7/8"h. 6 3/4"w. 4 5/8"d. Ex Stephen-Douglas Antiques (Vermont).

Condition: Missing several pulls, some losses to the strawwork, even toning to the watercolors (appear to be behind the original glass), missing one lobe of the front skirt. Pulls appear to be ivory.
