CARVED CHIPPENDALE SIDE CHAIR.
New York, ca.1780, mahogany. Shell-carved crest, openwork splat, and resting on ball and claw feet. Imperfections. 17 1/2"h. seat, 38 1/2"h. overall.

Condition: Older finish with traces of a think, old, red stain. Replaced slip seat, replaced blocks, replaced rear returns, repair to the top of the stiles at the ears, repairs at the shoe.
