DECORATED TALL CASE CLOCK.
Riley Whiting, Winchester, Connecticut, ca.1810-1820, pine. Scroll-cut pediment, and retaining its original red and black grain painting. Thirty-hour wooden movement retaining its original dial decoration, consisting of floral spandrels and dial arch, and house at center. Minor imperfections. 83 1/2"h. 17 1/4"w. 9"d. Ex Van Dusan/Schuman Antiques (Michigan/CA).

Condition: Expected minor wear and occasional paint losses. Missing the backboard behind the hood and a 1" strip of wood on the top of the hood. Older overvarnish has alligatored somewhat. Retains pendulum and weights.
