DECORATED MULE CHEST.
New England, possibly New Hampshire, 1st half-19th century, pine. Two lower drawers and resting on high, cut-out feet. Retains its original, vibrant black over yellow paint decoration. Replaced brasses. 37"h. 19"w. 42"l. Ex Frank Gaglio and Kathleen Molnar, advertised in Maine Antique Digest, May 1984. Condition reportCondition: Replaced brasses, missing lower drawer lock, lower drawer with some later nails, minor scattered paint wear and losses.
